Ajay Bhatt (born 1 May 1961) is an Indian politician serving as a Member of Parliament for the Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar constituency in Uttarakhand. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he was first elected to the Lok Sabha in 2019 and re-elected in 2024. He served as the Union Minister of State for Defence and Tourism from 2021 to 2024. Before his tenure in the Lok Sabha, Bhatt was a long-time member of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly (representing Ranikhet) and served as the Leader of the Opposition in the assembly (2012–2017). He also served as the State President of the BJP in Uttarakhand from 2016 to 2020.
