Biplab Kumar Deb (born 25 November 1971 in Rajdhar Nagar, Tripura) is a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tripura University in 1999. Early in his career, he shifted to Delhi where he worked closely with RSS and BJP leaders. He returned to Tripura and became the BJP state president in 2016. He led the BJP to a historic victory in the 2018 Tripura assembly elections, ending 25 years of uninterrupted Left Front rule. He served as the 10th Chief Minister of Tripura from 9 March 2018 to 14 May 2022, before unexpectedly resigning. Following his tenure as Chief Minister, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2022. In the 2024 general elections, he contested and won the Lok Sabha seat from Tripura West by a massive margin.
