Dharmapuri Arvind (born August 25, 1976) is a BJP Member of Parliament from Nizamabad. Before entering politics, he was a professional cricketer who played in the Ranji Trophy for Hyderabad. Coming from a prominent political family (his father was a veteran Congress leader), Arvind forged his own path by joining the BJP. He shot to national fame in 2019 when he defeated the incumbent MP K. Kavitha (daughter of then-CM K. Chandrashekar Rao). His tenure has been heavily focused on agricultural issues, most notably leading the successful charge to establish a Turmeric Board in his constituency. He was re-elected in 2024 with an increased majority.
