Dr. Mallu Ravi was born on July 14, 1950, in S. Laxmipuram, Khammam, Andhra Pradesh. He pursued his medical education, obtaining M.B.B.S. and D.L.O. degrees from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad. He entered politics as a student leader and served as the Convenor for the Andhra Pradesh Youth Congress (Doctors' Wing) between 1980 and 1982. He has extensive parliamentary experience, having been elected to the 10th (1991), 12th (1998), 13th, and 18th (2024) Lok Sabha representing Nagarkurnool (SC). He also served as the Special Representative of the Telangana government in New Delhi. Throughout his career, he has been an active voice on rural development, healthcare, and social welfare.
