Andimuthu Raja, born May 10, 1963, is a prominent senior leader and deputy general secretary of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). An advocate by profession, he was first elected to the Lok Sabha in 1996 from Perambalur. He has served as a Union Cabinet Minister across multiple portfolios, most notably as the Minister of Communications and Information Technology (2007–2010). Since 2009, he has represented the Nilgiris (SC) constituency, winning elections in 2009, 2019, and 2024. He is a key ideological voice for the DMK at the national level.
